Kanda Poha recipe

 Kanda Batata Poha is a Maharashtrian breakfast recipe. It doesn't take much time to make. Serve it with hot tea in the morning and evening breakfast. When you never understand what to make for breakfast, then you should make Kanda Batata Poha. It gets ready quickly. It does not take much oil to make and it is a very healthy snack and everyone likes it very much.

  • Poha
  • potato
  • Onion
  • green peas
  • coriander leaves
  • Green chili
  • Curry leaf
  • Mustard seeds
  • turmeric powder
  • salt
  • Oil

How to make Kanda Batata Poha :-


How to make Kanda Batata Poha | To make Kanda Batata Poha, first cut the potato into slices. Then put the pan on the gas and heat it by adding oil, as soon as the oil becomes hot, then you have to fry the cut potatoes and fry them well from both sides till golden brown. When it becomes golden brown from both sides, then you take it out on a plate.


In the same pan, put 4 spoons of oil and heat it well. As soon as the oil becomes hot, then add 1 tsp mustard seeds to it and let it crackle. When the mustard seeds crackle, then add 2 green chilies, and curry leaves and saute for 1 second.


Then add chopped onion to it and make it light golden brown and then add green peas, turmeric powder, and salt and cook it on a low medium flame for 5 minutes. So that the peas become soft. While the peas are cooking, we wash the poha in 3 water. After washing, remove all the water from it.


 After 5 minutes, add chopped dry coconut to it and mix it well and cook for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes add poha, and fried potatoes and mix it well. Then you add chopped green coriander and mix it.

Kanda Batata Poha is ready. Serve it with hot tea.


Important Tips:-

  • You can increase or decrease the number of green chilies according to your choice.
  • You can also add roasted peanuts in place of green peas.
  • To make Kanda Batata Poha, you have to take thick Poha.
  • Before serving it, you pour lemon juice on top.
